who we are
The WYBC is a non-profit basketball organization that works to promote basketball at all age levels for students that either live in the
Westosha Central school district or plan on attending Westosha Central High School. We are a travel basketball program for boys
and girls entering the 3rd through 8th grade. The high school coaching staff is actively involved in the program and the coaches
serve as mentors for our volunteers as well as participate in selected team practices and activities.
Program Philosophy
The WYBC's number one goal is to build a strong tradition for the Falcon basketball program. We don’t just want to win, but to become better people with great character. We want our athletes to see that being a part of the Falcon program is a privilege and we will push them outside of their comfort zones so they can achieve many great things on and off the court.
feeder season
The WYBC compliments the grade school basketball schedule. Tryouts are held in the beginning of the school year.
- The season stretches from October through March, although this will vary depending on team and grade level
- Practices run from October through March and most teams practice twice per week during the season
- BOYS Program
- Play in the Wisconsin Youth Basketball League. Games are held every other Sunday (mid-November through early March)
- Play in three to four tournaments
- GIRLS Program
- Competition is centered around travel tournaments. Each team will play in six to eight tournaments
